I, Stephen A. Brown, officially announce my candidacy for Cannon County Commissioner, 5th District, in the Aug. 7 General Election.

I have spent the better part of my adult life volunteering to serve my community and assist others. I am currently assistant chief at West Side Fire Department and am also a member of Mooretown Volunteer Fire Department and Cannon County Rescue Squad. Overall, I have been a volunteer firefighter for 15 years.

I have been married to Deeanna Sullins Brown for 11 years and we have two children.

I am running for Cannon County Commission to keep Cannon County a great place to live.

I would appreciate your vote on Aug. 7 and during early voting.
