Seniors Cory Henley and Tanner Larson were too much of an inside-outside attack for Smith County to handle in District 8-AA action.

The seniorssparked the Lions to an easy 72-39 win against Smith County at Robert A. Harris Gym Tuesday (Dec. 11).
Henley poured in 20 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field, while Larson dominated the inside with 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Larson also pulled six rebounds.

Cannon County (9-1, 3-0) led 11-9 after the first quarter but used a 19-8 run in the second frame to go on top 30-17 and never look back.

The Lions smothering defense continued to be a strong suit, limiting the opposition to below 40 points.
Garrett McReynolds also reacheddouble figures with 10. The solid junior was his always active self with seven rebounds, six assists, five steals and two blocks. Josh Ruehlen added seven for the Lions.
