Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy Brandon Gullett was on regular patrol on July 11 when he was contacted by THP Trooper Jason McGee, who said that he had made contact with a red Jeep Cherokee sitting in the middle of a curve on Hollow Springs Rd.

Gullett arrived at the location with Trooper McGee and upon investigation they learned from Cannon County Dispatch that it was the same red Jeep that was the subject of a BELO, and were advised by a young female at the scene that the driver was sitting inside of her residence at 55 Thurston Young Rd., Woodbury.

The officers went to the residence and asked the female, who it was learned later to be Sherry Ann Pack of 1318 Bethany Rd., McMinnville, to come outside. Pack told Gullet not to tell her what to do, because she was older than he is and that he is smaller than she is.

Once the officers were able to convince Pack to come outside, she immediately walked up to Trooper McGee and bumped chests with him, got into his face, and asked him what his problem was. At this point Gullett pulled her away from McGee, and handcuff one arm. She jerked away, but Gullett was able to wrap her other arm around her back and  then handcuff both hands. He placed her in his patrol unit, at which time she kicked Gullett in the chest.

After Gullett and two other deputies attempted to get Pack to identify herself, to which she first refused and then gave the name of another person, McGee found her ID in the Jeep, and learned that her license had been revoked for DUI. Gullett also observed several opened and unopened containers of Bud Light in the jeep.

Pack was arrested and taken to the Cannon County Jail and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and criminal impersonation. During the course of the booking Pack was observed to have an odor of an intoxicant about her person and breath, was unsteady on her feet, and had slurred speech.
