Six Bind Cases Over To Grand Jury

Judge Susan Melton presided over Cannon County General Sessions Court on Tuesday, Dec. 13. The results of some of the cases on the docket are as follows:

• Russell Dale Walls had charges of DUI, Driving on a Suspended License, Violation of the Implied Consent Law, Violation of the Financial Responsibility Law and Violation of the Light Law, bound over to the January 2012 Term of the Cannon County Grand Jury.

• Joseph Michael Faulk had charges of Aggravated Burglary, Theft Over $500 and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia bound over to the grand jury.

• Robert Lewis Judkins had charges of Assault on an Officer and Resisting Arrest bound over to the of the grand jury.

• James R. Kaiser had eights counts of Aggravated Assault bound over to the grand jury.

• Adam Levoy McClure had charges of Aggravated Burglary, Theft Over $500 and Tampering with Evidence bound over to the grand jury.

• Royce Avon Foster had charges of with Theft Over $1,000 and Domestic Assault bound over to the grand jury.

• Barry Wayne Bynum, pled guilty to Violation of Probation 1st Offense. His probation was extended for 5 months, 28 days and was transferred to state probation to run concurrent with probation he is serving in Circuit Court. He was also ordered to pay any costs, fines and restitution as directed by the probation service.

• Randy Allen Caldwell pled guilty to Simple Possession of a Schedule II drug. He received a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days. He was also fined $750 and ordered to pay court costs. Caldwell also pled guilty to Driving on a Suspended License and received a 6-month suspended sentence.

• Emanuel Gutierrez, III pled guilty to Driving on a Suspended License. He received a 6-month suspended sentence, his license was revoked for 1 year, and he was assessed court costs.

• Eddy Ray Young, Jr. entered a conditional plea of guilty under judicial diversion to Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days, fined $400 and assessed court costs.

• Justin Tyler Barrett pled guilty to Simple Possession of Marijuana. He received a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and was placed on probation for 11 months, 1 day. He was fined $250 and assessed court costs. Barrett also pled guilty to Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and received a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and was placed on probation for 11 months, 1 day. He was also fined $150 and assessed court costs. In another case, Barrett pled guilty to Violation of Probation. He was ordered to serve 28 days in the county jail and his probation was extended 11 months, 1 day. His probation service was changes from county to state to coincide with Circuit Court sentences he is serving.

• Kristopher B. King pled guilty to Violation of Probation. He was ordered to serve 14 days in the Cannon County Jail and his probation was extended for 11 months, 15 days.

• Joyce Ann Leggett pled guilty to Simple Possession of a Schedule III drug. She received a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, equal time on probation, a $750 fine, was assessed court costs and must forfeit property seized during the investigation.

• Kristopher Lynn Mullins-Cross entered a conditional plea of guilty under judicial diversion to Theft Under $500. He was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days, fined $50, assessed court costs, and was order to have no contact with the victim and to stay away from the premises of the offense.

• Bobby D. Sanders pled guilty to Violation of Probation. His probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve his original sentence.

• Charles D. Johnson, Jr. had three petitions to reduce or waive costs and/or fees denied by Judge Melton.

• Jeffrey Andrew Johnson, charged with DUI 1st Offense, Simple Possession of a Schedule II drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Violation of the Financial Responsibility Law, was reset for Feb. 14.

• Stephen Christopher Killion had charges of DUI and Violation of the Implied Consent Law reset for Jan. 10.

• Tabitha Lynn Mayfield, charged with DUI 1st Offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, was reset for Jan. 24.

• Keith Abraham McCrackins, charged with Driving on a Suspended License, failed to appear. A Capias was issued for his arrest.

• Tammy D. Miller had charges of Violation of Probation dismissed.

• Veronica Jean Mooneyham, charged with DUI, was reset for Feb. 14.

• Jessica Ramey had charges of Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance and Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 7.

• Thomas Wade Reed had charges of Criminal Trespass and Theft Over $1,000 scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 7.

• Stanley O. Reeves had a charge of Public Intoxication reset for Dec. 20.

• Justin Patrick Richardson had charges of Simple Possession of a Schedule IV drug, Simple Possession of a Schedule VI drug, Simple Possession of a Legend drug, Inhaling or Processing Gas for an Unlawful Purpose and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia reset for Feb. 21.

• Dustin Ray Rogers had a charge of Theft Over $500 scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 7.

• Timothy Gordon Shafer, charged with Driving on a Revoked License and Fugitive from Justice, failed to appear. A Capias was issued for his arrest.

• Heather Nicole Smith, charged with Worthless Check (two counts), was reset for Jan. 3.

• Regina Ann Smith pled guilty to Violation of Probation 1st Offense. Her judicial diversion was terminated and she was found guilty to Simple Possession of Marijuana. She was fined $250, assessed court costs, order to serve 14 days in the Cannon County Jail, and her probation was extended 11 months, 15 days.

• Lori Ann Sullins, charged with DUI 1st Offense, was reset for Feb. 21.

• Brian Neil Wells was denied give Petitions for Suspended Sentences. He still has over 600 days to serve according to court and jail records.

• Kimberly Ann Besner, charged with Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication, was reset for Jan. 20.

• Michael J. Burton, charged with Driving on a Suspended License, was reset for March 6.

• Jason Lewis Davenport pled guilty to Driving on a Suspended License 2nd Offense. Sentencing was set for March 20.

• Russell Allen Deese, charged with DUI, was reset for Feb. 7.

• Cynthia Ann Ennis, charged with Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance and Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution, was scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 7.

• Nina S. Faries, charged with Worthless Check, was reset for Jan. 10.

• Jessica Lynn Marie Hunter, charged with Driving on a Suspended License 1st Offense, was reset for March 6.

• Corey Wayne Ferrell, charged with Violation of Probation (DUI), was reset for Jan. 31.

• Christopher Allen Hoover, charged with Driving on a Revoked License 4th Offense, Violation of the Financial Responsibility Law and Violation of the Muffler Law, failed to appear.
