Significant Snow Event Potential Exists Sunday, Monday
Light snow and flurries are expected today across Middle Tennessee, but the potential exists for a more significant snow event in the mid state Sunday night through Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

A clipper system will move through the mid state this morning bringing light snow and flurries to the region. One to three inches of snow is possible over northeast middle Tennessee and the Cumberland Plateau, with a dusting to less than an inch elsewhere. Colder temperatures will arrive behind the clipper system this afternoon.

The potential exists for a more significant snow event for middle Tennessee Sunday night through Monday as a surface low is forecast to develop off the southeast Texas coast and move along the Gulf Coast while spreading snow across the Tennessee Valley... including middle Tennessee.
