Where's that cabin?
The photo next to this article is a shot of what was Cannon County's oldest cabin. It was located in the Bradyville community. Now all remains of it is this photo and memories.
Memories will be the focus of the Tuesday, March 10 meeting of the Cannon County Historial Society. Due to popular demand, the Society is bringing back its "Show and Tell" and "Share a Tale" topic for this meeting held at 6:30 p.m. at the Cannon County Senior Center, 609 Lehman St.
"Please bring family heirlooms, documents, book, pictures, old hand tools, relics or anything interesting to share. Be prepared to 'Share a Tale,'" Davenport said.
We will meet at 6:30 p.m. for snacks and refresh-ments. The program will begin at 7 p.m.
"Come and bring someone with you and bring something to show and tell or a tale to share," he said.
The week of March 9 marks the 39th anniversary of the founding of the Cannon County Historical Society.
"It has been suggested that we do something special to commemorate the 40th anniversary next year. Think about it and let's do it," Davenport said.
