Two Woodbury men face charges following a shooting incident which took place on Highway 53 South on August 8.
John McPeak, 945 S. McCrary St., Woodbury, was charged with aggravated assault by CCSD Deputy Anthony Young. Joseph Tyler Green was charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
According to the complaint against McPeak filed by Deputy Young, McPeak was driving a Chevy passenger car on Aug. 8 with Tyler Green as a passenger. Tyler Green leaned out of the vehicle and shot several times at Dallas Eugene Reed and his vehicle. Johnny McPeak was driving at high rates of speed while Tyler Green was shooting at Dallas Reed. He also drove the vehicle to 1140 Geedsville Rd. where Tyler Green shot at Dallas Reed two more times in the direction of Chasity Baughman and their two children. Dallas Reed was in fear of imminent bodily injury or death.
In the complaint filed against Green by Deputy Young, Green was the passenger in a blue Chevy car driven by Johnny McPeak. The defendant shot at Dallas Eugene Reed while he was driving on Highway 53 South several times while both vehicles were traveling at a high rate of speed. He also shot at Dallas Reed two more times at 1140 Geedsville Rd. while hanging out the passenger side of the vehicle. Two of the bullets that were shot out of a silver revolver by Tyler Green struck the vehicle driven by Dallas Reed.
Chasity Baughman was sitting on the front porch of this residence when the gun was fired. She saw the gun pointed in her general direction when it was fired. Ms. Baughman's daughter, age 2, was also on the porch of the residence when the gun was fired. This placed her daughter in imminent danger of death or serious bodily harm.
McPeak's initial court appearance is set for Sept. 7. Green, who was subsequently arrest on Aug. 13 following an unrelated incident, will appear in court for these charges on Oct. 5.
