Members of the Middle Tennessee Mule Skinners Association spent yesterday discing (pronounced "DISKING") the first organic corn field for a new distillery in Cannon County.
Five mule teams worked on the seven acre field on Short Mountain.
The mule teams will spend each Saturday this month getting the first crops planting.
Short Mountain Distillery is one of a few distilleries that have popped up thanks to a new law passed by the legislature two years ago.
Short Mountain Distillery will make corn whiskey and moonshine later this summer and hopes to make Spring planting an annual event.
