Short Mountain Coffee was started 3 years ago by Neal Appelbaum who is the VP of the Stones River Watershed Association.
The goal of SMC is to provide a high quality coffee to our communtiy - with living wage prices paid to the coffee farmers and with organic growing practices that support the environment. Profits from the sale of the coffee go to the Stones River Watershed Association, www.stoneswatershed.org.
Those profits are earmarked exclusively for the development of the Greenway in Cannon County.
"This coffee continues to be an opportunity to transition an every day household agricultural product to a higher quality - one that supports our community for the long term - through financial support for our river environment." said Neal Appelbaum
Short Mountain Coffee is available by the pound at the Arts Center, The Old Feed Store, and through www.MorningsideFarm.com
A poster and logo has just been produced by Nashville based graphics artist Brian Parker of www.parkerdesigns.com
