Sheriff's Reports: 'Tammy' reportedly fires gun into air



The following incident reports were recently filed at the Cannon County Sheriff's Department:

• On Dec. 11, Deputy Ken Atkin was dispatched to Bryson Rd. in Auburntown in reference to a white female by the name of Tammy pulling up in their driveway and shooting a handgun up in the air. Mr. Kevin Coe stated he and his father were out on the porch and his mother was inside the house when the weapon was shot. The suspect left the scene prior to my arrival. Coe stated he believes she was driving a gray Chevy Lumina.

Coe also stated he and Ricky Pennington had words and a pushing match earlier in the night. He stated they talked it out and remained friends when Pennington left Coe's house. Coe stated "Tammy" showed up after the altercation he had with Pennington. Coe stated he believes she is dating Pennington. The address for these subjects is not known.

• On Dec. 2, Deputy Ken Atkin was dispatched to Myrtle Rd. in Bradyville in reference to an aggravated burglary. Upon arrival he spoke with the victim, Mr. Martin Perez Lemus. Lemus stated he last saw the (back) door earlier in the day at approximately 3 p.m. when he left his house. Lemus stated when he got back home at 11 p.m. he noticed the door was broken. He stated some of the cabinets and closets were gone through but nothing seemed to be missing.

Deputy Atkin went across the street to the neighbor's house to see if she had seen anything. She stated she saw a bi-racial young man across the street in the victim's yard earlier in the day. She stated she did not see him enter or vandalize the house. But she stated he did go behind the house. The neighbor stated the person she saw lives in the neighbor's house before you get to hers that's on the Jim Cummings side. Deputy Atkin went to that residence and knocked on the door, but no one responded.

• On Dec. 10, Deputy Blayde Baker was dispatched to Gilley Hill Road in Bradyville to meet Thomas Todd for a stolen property report for a theft that had occurred the previous day. Upon arrival at the gate of the property, Deputy Baker made contact with Todd. Baker and Todd entered the property and made our way to the house which sat across a creek.

Upon initial viewing of the residence it appeared that a window and window frame as well as part of the wall of the home on the B side of the house had been pulled off of the rest of the residence.

Upon entering we observed several open cabinets as well as damaged item in the residence. Todd stated that two wood stoves had been taken from the residence as well as all of his drinks he had in the refrigerator. Todd had a dehumidifier damaged during the break in and a table that was in the living room of the home. Todd also had five of his Arlo Security cameras taken down and damaged as well as the control box for the cameras was torn from its cables in the home as well.

• On Dec. 15 Deputy Blayde Baker was dispatched to the residence of Mr. Ryan Hanes in Readyville. Upon arrival he made contact with him and a Mr. Chance Baker. Hanes stated that some time in the night his barn was broken into and numerous tools and supplies were stolen. The barn sits down the road from his house, around 250 feet. Upon inspection of the property he stated that his grandfather had passed away and left him a lot of the items that were stolen and that his dad had given him several of the items as well. Hanes stated he knew what types of tools he had but was unsure of a lot of the brands and serial numbers due to him being given so much that he hadn't had time to go through it all. He stated a lot of the tools were still in their boxes. Deputy Baker advised Hanes to contact the sheriff's department if he found anything else from the barn missing. Photos were taken of the interior and some of the exterior of the barn.

• Deputy Dustin Taylor reported Amanda Landrum of Readyville stated on the night of Dec. 16 between ll p.m. and 6 a.m. she and her husband were asleep in there residence when someone came onto the property and stole all 4 wheels, tires, and both taillights to a 1999 Ford F-150 that was registered to Roger Cox. The subjects completely removed the wiring from the passenger side taillight as well as leaving the vehicle on cinder blocks.

• Deputy Ken Atkin was dispatched to Old Prospect Rd. on Dec. 11 in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival he spoke with the victim/complainant, Ms. Linda M. Cawthorn. She stated sometime this day between 9 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. someone entered her home and took a bottle of hydrocodone from underneath her mattress in the bedroom. The bottle was half full, she said.

Ms. Cawthron stated there was $95 laying in the open on the kitchen table, other medication and over $1,000 under the mattress also. Nothing was missing other than the hydrocodone.

As far as the aggravated burglary, the only door that didn't have a dead bolt lock on it was the front door. The victim stated the handle lock was locked on the front door. There were no signs of forced entry. The paint and wood was intact in the door jam. There were no signs of forced entry at the windows either. There are no suspects at time of report.
