A Cannon County Sheriff's deputy came to the rescue of a kitten earlier this week.

Deputy Emmaly Beasley was dispatched to an address on June 11 on Jim Cummings Hwy. in reference to a baby kitten stuck in the motor of a truck.

Upon arrival Beasley made contact with the complainant, who stated there a kitten was stuck inside the motor of her truck and she was unable to get it out due to the fact that she had just had neck surgery.

After about 15 minutes of trying, Deputy Beasley was able to remove the kitten from underneath the truck.

"The kitten then ran off under the porch and I went back in service," Beasley's report states.
