A man driving on Jim Cummings Hwy. Nov. 23 has been charged with driving on a revoked license.

Cannon County Sheriff Darrell Young was driving behind a maroon and white Dodge truck traveling south at a high rate of speed. Sheriff Young stopped the truck before cresting the hill on Hwy. 53S.

The driver exited the truck, at which time Sheriff Young asked him where he was going in such a hurry. The driver stated he was going to Pelham's Auto Salvage to sell some scrap he had in the bed of the truck.

Sheriff Young asked the driver for identification, and he replied he did not have any. The driver identified himself as Kenneth F. Anderson, Jr. A check by Cannon County Dispatch revealed Anderson's license had been revoked.

Anderson was arrested for DORL and booked at the sheriff's department. The truck was towed by Pelham's Wrecker Service. A passenger in the truck, who also did not have a driver's license, was driven by officers to a friend's house.
