Shelby (Sam) Stovall ‘Focused On Our Future’

Shelby (Sam) Stovall ‘Focused On Our Future’
I am running for Commissioner in District 1 and I would sincerely appreciate your vote.

My husband and I moved to Cannon County in 2002. I come from a small town in West Tennessee. My dad and mom owned and operated a farm there all their lives. So my values, morals, and character are of a small town nature like Woodbury.

I have a degree in Accounting and Business. I worked for the government for eight years before moving to Nashville. I worked for Franklin Brick and Boral Industries where part of my duties was to hire and fire and make many tough decisions. I retired in 2009 after 28 years of service.

I am a fighter for what I believe in, a Christian, a hard worker, wife, and mom. I love my family and friends and my community.

I would put my heart and soul into making a decision that would affect everyone in our county. Our county should have more revenue and more jobs. Our main goal should be to keep the small town spirit, but grow to fulfill our goals to support the needs of our towns and communities.

We need people in our government that will “work” for our county, and have a goal to succeed. I am not related to anyone in office and owe my allegiance to no one except the people of my district.

I would love to try to serve my district for four years, but if I can’t succeed in representing the district in a successful way, since I am my own worst critic, I promise not to seek another term and let someone else try to do better.

Please make a good effort to get out and vote and make your voice heard.
