Several Plead Guilty To Driving Offenses, Including DUI



Most of the guilty pleas entered in the Cannon County General Sessions Court of Judge Susan Melton Tuesday were for driving offenses.

• Samantha Faith Bailey pled guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. She was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. She was also fined $150 and court costs.

• Antoine Louis Arde Baptiste pled guilty to driving without a license. He was given a 30-day suspended sentence and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. He was fined $2 and court costs. Baptiste also pled guilty to violation of the financial responsibility law and was fined $100. A charge of speeding was dismissed without cost.

• Scotty Wayne Bowman pled guilty to leaving the scene of a property damage accident. He received a 30 days suspended sentence and was ordered to pay a fine, restitution and court costs.

• Gregory Alan Campbell pled guilty to driving without a license. He was given a 30-day suspended sentence and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. He was fined $2 and court costs.

• Dallas Lamont Carney pled guilty to driving without a license. He was given a 30-day suspended sentence and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. He was fined $2 and court costs.

• Calvin Maurice Conley pled guilty to driving on a suspended license. He was given a 6-month suspended sentence and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. He was fined $50 and court costs. In another case, Conley pled guilty to a charge of carrying a weapon with the intent to go armed. He was given a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and placed on probation for an equal amount of time.

• Clifford Shane Ferrell pled guilty to DUI (1st offense). He was given a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and ordered to serve 48 hours in the county jail. He was fined $350 and court costs. He lost his driver’s license for one year and must attend alcohol and drug school.

• Tracey LaVonne Guthrie pled guilty to a charge for DUI. She received a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and was placed on probation for an equal amount of time. She was ordered to serve five days in the county jail, pay a fine of $350 and court costs, and lost her driver’s license for one year. She also must attend alcohol and drug school.

• Brian W. Ingram, charged with driving without a license, violation of the financial responsibility law, did not appear and a Capias was issued for his arrest.

• Belinda Johnson pled guilty to a charge of driving on a suspended license (1st offense). She was given a suspended sentence of six months and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. She was also fined $50 and court costs. Johnson also pled guilty to violation of the insurance law and was fined $100.

• Pless Vernon Lawton pled guilty to a charge of traveling on a closed road. He was fined $50 and placed on probation for 30 days.

• Raine Marie Patterson Sullivan pled guilty to a charge of child neglect. She was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. She was fined $100 and court costs and ordered to attend parenting classes.

• Johnathan James Simmons pled guilty to driving on a suspended license (2nd offense). He was given a suspended sentence of six months and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. He was fined $50 and assessed court costs.

• Michael Anthony Warner pled guilty to simple possession of marijuana. He was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. He was fined $250 and assessed court costs.

• Joshua J. Weimer pled guilty to driving without a license. He was given a 30-day suspended sentence and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. He was fined $2 and court costs.

• Crystal Michelle Fleming, charged with violation of probation (1st offense), had the charge dismissed and her probation period was terminated.

• Jerry Ray Gunter, charged with possession of Schedule III drugs, was continued until May 10.

Shane M. West, charged with DUI (1st offense), driving on a suspended license (4th offense), violation of the implied consent law, speeding (82/30), failure to obey a traffic control device, failed to appear and a Capias was issued for his arrest.

• Tara H. Spencer, charged with DUI by Consent, was continued until April 12.

• Richard Henry Stickney III, charged with DUI, was scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 4.

• James Benjamin Vernon, IV, charged with DUI (2nd offense), violation of the implied consent law, was continued until June 14.

• Rebecca P. Pendergrast, charged with driving without a license, was continued until June 14.

• Misty C. Pickett, charged with possession of Schedule VI drugs, was continued until May 24.

• Gregory Jason Porter, charged with DUI (1st offense), was continued until June 14.

• Daniel Ray Rainey, charged with domestic assault, failed to appear and a Capias was issued for his arrest.

• Shelia Rains, charged with leaving the scene of an accident, violation of the financial responsibility law, was continued until June 14.

• Golden Arnold Robertson, violation of probation (1st offense), three counts, was continued until May 10.

• Kayla Rena Sanders, charged with DUI, was continued until May 10.

• Howard Odell Walls, driving on a suspended license, was continued.

• Justin Tyler Barrett, charged with possession of Schedule III drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia was continued until May 10.

• John B. Carter, charged with driving on a suspended license (5th offense), carrying a weapon, possession of a Schedule II drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, promotion of methamphetamine manufacture, possession of Schedule IV drug, was scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 4.

• Isaac Markum, charged with disorderly conduct, was continued until April 12.

• Angela M. Mathis, charged with filing a false report, harassment, was continued until May 10.

• Lewis Mark Kronnick, Jr., charged with driving on a suspended license (two counts), driving without a license, was continued until May 10.

• Candice Dawn Laxton, charged with DUI (1st offense), violation of the implied consent law, was continued until April 5.

• Randall Ewing Council, charged with three counts of theft under $500, was continued until April 5.

• Dennis Ray Curtis, charged with DUI (1st offense), violation of the implied consent law, simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding (70/55), was scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 10.

• Justin R. Deaton, charged with driving on a revoked license (7th offense), was continued until May 10.

• Audria L. Estes, charged with promotion of methamphetamine manufacture, possession of Schedule II drugs, possession of Schedule IV drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, was scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 4.

• Amber Elaine Fahey, charged with DUI (2nd offense), driving on a revoked license (2nd offense), violation of the implied consent law, was continued until May 10.

• Austin Cole Heath, charged with possession of synthetic marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, was continued until April 26.

• Jerry Wayne Hill, Jr., charged with simple possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license (2nd offense), was continued until May 10.
