School Board director search meetings set Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday



The Cannon County Board of Education will meet in special session on Saturday (March 10), Tuesday (March 13) and Thursday (March 15) to continue work toward hiring a Director of Schools.

The board has also set March 29 as a date to hire the director.

It was also learned today that Kimberly Tucker, a former principal at Cannon County High School, has apparently removed herself from consideration for the position.

Following are notices about the board's upcoming meetings:

• The Cannon County Board of Education will meet in a work session on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the office of the Cannon County Board of Education, 301 West Main Street, Woodbury, Tennessee 37190. The Board will interview, by telephone, all applicants for the position of Cannon County Director of Schools.

• The Cannon County Board of Education will meet in special called session on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at the office of the Cannon County Board of Education, 301 West Main Street, Woodbury, Tennessee 37190 to discuss the selection of a Cannon County Director of Schools. No vote will be taken to appoint a Director of Schools, but the Board may take action to narrow the field of candidates. The Board may also take any and all necessary action related thereto.

• The Cannon County Board of Education will meet in special called session on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at the office of the Cannon County Board of Education, 301 West Main Street, Woodbury, Tennessee 37190 to discuss the selection of a Cannon County Director of Schools. No vote will be taken to appoint a Director of Schools, but the Board may take action to narrow the field of candidates. The Board may also take any and all necessary action related thereto.

• The Cannon County Board of Education will meet in special called session on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at Woodbury Grammar School Cafeteria, 530 West Adams Street, Woodbury, Tennessee 37190. The first item on the agenda will be to consider, and appoint, a Cannon County Director of Schools and any and all necessary action related thereto.
