Scholarship deadline approaching

The deadline for college scholarship applications for the Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors (MTAR) Scholarship program is quickly approaching.

MTAR accepts scholarship applications each year from high school seniors planning to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college or university that is physically located within the eight-county MTAR area. In addition, the student must currently reside in one of those counties. This year's scholarships are for fall 2015 and spring 2016. They may be used for any expense the student may incur.

Area seniors should ask their guidance counselor for an application. The application can also be downloaded from the Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors website, www.mtar.org. Deadline for submission is Monday, March 30 at 4:30 p.m. at the MTAR office at 311 Butler Drive in Murfreesboro, Tn., 37127. Scholarships will be awarded at the student's Senior Awards Ceremony.
