Ruby Lassiter Rains

Ruby Lassiter Rains, age 87, of Murfreesboro passed away Monday Sept. 7, 2009. She was the daughter of the late George & Maude Williams Lassiter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, G. W. (Jack) Rains; 2 brothers, Horace Lassiter & Carl Lassiter; a sister, Lorene Knox; son-in-law, Dorris Alexander & a great grand daughter, Dustie Davis.

Graveside Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Riverside Gardens in Woodbury with Bro. Wayne Lankford & Bro. James Carl Lassiter officiating. Visitation will be from noon until time of service Wednesday.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Anna F. Gaither Alexander of Murfreesboro and Judy Gaither (Phil) Prater of Woodbury; 3 grandchildren, Doris Ann (Tim) Davis of Murfreesboro, Debra (John) Hammer of Japan & Jaclyn (Shawn) Daffern of Arizona and 11 great grandchildren.

She was a housewife and a member of East Main Church of Christ.
