Rosetta Davenport Brown McCreery,83, of Nashville, TN, passed away on March 22, 2010. Rosetta's life reminds us of the "Virtuous Woman" of Proverbs 31.

She is preceded in death by husbands, Douglas Brown and Joseph McCreery; parents, Samuel and Callie Davenport; brothers, Alvin and Hobert Davenport; and great-granddaughter, Crystal Brown. Survived by sons, Jerry E. (Marjorie) Brown and James W. (Pamela) Brown; sister, Mary Davis; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. McCreery was a retiree of Genesco following 50 years of employment. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 26, 2010 at 11 a.m., at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road, by Rev. J. D. Joines.

Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
