Robert Houston Parker, 90, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 at MacArthur Manor in Manchester.

A resident of Bradyville, TN, he was a native of Cannon County.

He is survived by his wife: Lyda Allmon Parker of Bradyville and brother, Kenneth O. Parker of Bradyville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Myrtle Swanger Parker; siblings, Hilary Parker, Mamie Rogers, Homer Parker and Opal Armstrong.

He attended Ivy Bluff Methodist Church, was a veteran of WWII where he served in the Navy, worked as a Pipe Fitter and Breeder of Polled Hereford Cattle and be was a President of Tennessee Polled Hereford Assoc. and a Member of Nashville Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011 with ro. Danny Freeman officiating.

Burial will be in Ivy Bluff Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sat., Sept. 3, 2011 and Sunday 12 noon until time of service.
