Richmond Alexander, 78, of Woodbury died February 1, 2011. He was born April 11, 1932 in Cannon County in the Hollis Creek Community. He is preceded in death by his parents, Enloe Alexander and Mildred (Allen) Alexander, step-mother, Dorothy Parker Alexander and a step-brother, Alton Parker.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Alexander of Woodbury; a son & daughter-in-law, Tim & Brenda Alexander of Woodbury, a sister, Betty Ann Alexander of Woodbury; step-brother, Ike & Charlene Parker of Woodbury; brother-in-laws, Buddy & Eldra Alexander of Woodbury, Gerry Alexander of Hillsboro and J. T. Jackson of Murfreesboro; sister-in-law, Mary Dale & Buddy Clark of LaVergne and Elaine Martin of Woodbury; two grandchildren, Wesley Alexander & Whitney Alexander; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Mr. Alexander was a member of the Woodbury Church of Christ. He worked in years past at Butler Manufacturing, Cummings Sign & Samsonite. He was a retired employee of the rack center for USA Today.

Visitation will be held Feb. 2, 2011 from 3-8 PM at Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Feb. 3, 2011 at 2 PM in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Herb Alsup will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
