Rhonda Lynn Martin



Rhonda Lynn Martin, 48, died Friday, January 14 at her home following an extended illness. She was a resident of Woodbury and was a native of Jamestown.

She was a teacher at Woodland Elementary School for 25 years and attended Sunny Hills Baptist Church.

"We loved her very much and she was very well respected in the educational field," Director of Schools Barbara Parker said of Martin Saturday.

Survivors include; husband, Roger Martin, sons, Douglas and Austin Martin both of Woodbury, parents, Edward and Wilma Gunter Brady of Jamestown, sisters, Ruth Myrick of Christiana, Pam Mullinix of Ohio, and Sandy Roberts of Rockvale, brother, James Brady of Madisonville, grandfather, Auther Brady of Pall Mall, in-laws Roy and Opel Martin of Woodbury, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 17 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Bro. John Jones and Bro. Ray Patrick will conduct the service. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family is Sunday from 2:00pm – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First National Bank or Woodbury Funeral Home to help with the Martin children’s college fund.
