Readyville Woman Faces Stalking Charge



Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Smith arrested Peggie Odom, Bevins Hill Rd., Readyville, on Dec. 5 on a warrant charging her with stalking.

The warrant was obtained by the victim of the alleged stalking, who said Odom had been following her and her children on numerous occasions and had contacted her several times without a legitimate reason.

Odom was released on $800 bond. Initial court date is Jan. 3.

• In an unrelated incident, a Woodbury woman was arrested on Dec. 5 on warrants charging her with Harassment and Contempt of Court.

Brandy Resha Campbell, 335 Hayes St., Woodbury, was served the warrants by Cannon County Sheriff’s Corrections Officer Rodney Nichols.

The victim alleges that Campbell, in violation of a court order, telephoned her home and spoke with her son in a threatening and offensive manner, yelling and cursing, for no legitimate purpose. During the course of the call Campbell allegedly threatened to assault the victim’s sister.

Campbell was on probation at the time of the alleged call.

Bond was set at $2,000. Initial court date is Dec. 20.

• In other recent incidents, Charles Edward Jakes, 521 McFerrin St., Woodbury, was charged with Disorderly Conduct on Dec. 4. While at Stones River Hospital, Jakes acted in a manner which warranted hospital staff to call for police assistance. As officers arrived, Jakes began shouting and slammed a door. He barricaded himself in that room. Officers rushed in and arrested Jakes. Bond was set at $500. Initial court date is Jan. 24.

• Linda Neal Heery, South Ridge Dr, Apt. C-8, Woodbury, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License on Dec. 3 following a traffic stop on Sunny Slope Rd. A release citation was issued. Initial court date is Jan. 24.

• Julie Christie Fisk, 315 Mariposa Lane, Woodbury, was charged with Horses at Large on Nov. 29 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Steve McMillen. Fisk allegedly allowed her six horses to run loose on Bullpen Rd. A release citation was issued. Initial court date is Jan. 3.
