Ready to run, bike and paddle?

Run, bike and paddle at the Stones River Relay which will begin at 9:30 a.m. April 6 at the Arts Center. Participants will be shuttled to the top of Short Mountain to the relay starting point.

The 22-mile relay across Cannon County includes biking, running and paddling. Entrants are welcome to participate in one or all three legs of the relay. Children 6-12 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Beginning on Short Mountain, the highest point in middle Tennessee, the first leg is a run, the second a bike ride and the third leg is a paddle downstream, ultimately exiting the East Fork of the Stones River at the Readyville Mill.

The first individual participant to complete all three legs of the course will be awarded a trophy designed by William Kooeinga.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the water-focused environmental projects by Stones River Watershed Association.

The Stones River Watershed Association is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization that protects, preserves, enhances and restores the natural resources within the Stones River Watershed.
