The Tennessee Department of Heath, the Cannon County Animal Clinic and the Woodbury Veterinary Hospital are sponsoring the 2012 Cannon County Rabies Clinics in April.

Tennessee law requires that all cats and dogs over three months old be vaccinated.

Dr. Lewanda Lance of the Woodbury Veterinary Hospital will be providing vaccines at the following locations on Saturday, April 7: West Side School, 1-1:30 p.m.; Bradyville Church of Christ, 2-2:30 p.m.; Ivy Bluff Methodist Church, 3-3:30 p.m. and Woodland School, 3:45 to 4:15 p.m.

Dr. Gayle Tate of the Cannon County Animal Clinic will be giving vaccines at the following locations on Saturday, April 14: Auburntown School, 8:30-9 a.m.; Gassaway Store, 9:30-10 a.m.; Short Mountain School, 10:15-10:45 a.m.; Eastside School, 11-11:30 a.m. and Pleasant View, 11:45 a.m. to Noon.

On Saturday, April 21, Dr. Lance will be at Sunny Slope Church from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and Dr. Tate will be at the Cannon County Courthouse from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Cost of the vaccine is $8 per animal. In addition to the clinic dates, both Dr. Lance and Dr. Tate will be offering vaccines at this reduced price throughout the month of April at their respective offices.
