Qualifying Deadline For 4 Elected Positions Dec. 8

The Cannon County Election Commission will be issuing nominating petitions between now and the noon, December 8, 2011 qualifying deadline for Assessor of Property, Road Commissioner Zones 1, 2 and 3.

The Cannon County Republican Party called a county primary for these four offices to be held with the March 6, 2012 Presidential Preference Primary.

Individuals interested in running for these four offices as the Republican Party nominee, as well as Independents shall file their nominating petition prior to the NOON, on December 8, 2011 qualifying deadline.

Republican Candidates will appear on the March 6, 2012 County Primary Ballot and Independent Candidates will appear on the August 2, 2012 County General Ballot.

School Board Candidates do not run by party and nominating petitions for school board will become available in early January of 2012.
