Prison Time Ordered For Several Defendants In Circuit Court



Judge Don Ash presided over Cannon County Circuit Court on Thursday.  Some of the results from the various cases which appeared on the docket included:
 
Ravi Goin pled guilty to the charges of driving while being declared a habitual motor vehicle offender, simple possession of marijuana and theft under $500.00.  He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail and ordered to serve his entire sentence.
 
Deborah Smithson’s petition for suspended sentence was granted by Judge Ash.  She was ordered to serve 6 months in jail and was placed on State Probation for 2 years.  She pled guilty to the charge of sale of schedule II in August.
 
Lisa Pyles pled guilty to 13 counts of passing a worthless check under $500.00, passing a worthless check over $500.00 and theft over $500.00.  She received a total prison sentence of 4 years.  That sentence was suspended upon serving 230 days in jail, paying restitution to the victims, paying the court costs, and reporting to State Probation for 4 years.
 
Wendy Marie Thomas’s petition for suspended sentence was granted by Judge Ash.  She was placed on state supervised probation for 2 years and ordered to pay the court costs and her fine.  In June, Thomas pled guilty to the charge of promotion of the manufacture of methamphetamine and was fined $2,000.00.
 
Misty Nissa Ruthledge pled guilty to the charge of promotion of the manufacture of methamphetamine.  She was sentenced to 2 ½ years in prison and fined $2,000.00.  That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on State Probation and paying the court costs.
 
Jeremy Thomas suspended sentence petition was denied by Judge Ash.  He was ordered to serve his entire 9 year prison sentence.  He pled guilty to the charges of criminal attempt to initiate the process to manufacture methamphetamine and tampering with evidence in June.
 
Donna Falkenback pled guilty to two counts of sale of schedule IV drugs.  She was sentenced to 4 years in prison.  That sentence was suspended upon payment of a $6,000.00 fine, paying the court costs, and reporting to State Probation for 4 years.
 
Allison Danielle Church pled guilty to the charge of promotion of methamphetamine manufacture.  She was sentenced to 2 ½ years in prison and ordered to serve her entire prison sentence.
 
Lea Ann Farless pled guilty to the charge of violation of probation.  Her probation was extended and she was ordered to serve 30 days in jail.  In another case, Farless pled guilty to the charge of vandalism under $500.00. She was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail.  That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying the court costs and paying restitution.
 
Tammie Thompson pled guilty to the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.  She was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail and ordered to serve her entire sentence.  In another case, Thompson pled guilty to the charge of criminal attempt to sell schedule IV drugs.  She was sentenced to 2 years in prison and ordered to serve her entire sentence.
 
Those defendants who did not settle their cases either failed to appear or were reset.
