Tennessee voters continued to show up in strong numbers as early voting continued Thursday. More than 107,000 voters across the state cast their ballots yesterday, bringing the statewide total to 816,645 voters through the first eight days of the early voting period. Statewide turnout continues to exceed comparable early voting numbers for the 2008 November election.
“Voters across the state are making their voices heard at the polls,” said Secretary of State Tre Hargett. “Although in-person early voting will continue through Thursday, this Saturday is the last Saturday to vote in person prior to the November 6 election.”
All 95 counties will be open Saturday. Voters with questions regarding the locations and hours of early voting are encouraged to contact their local election commission offices.
