Domestic Assault
A 48-year-old Cannon County woman was charged with domestic assault following an incident on K Parker Road.
Charged was Lisa Helen Berry of Readyville.
"When call (was) received, dispatched advised that the parties were separated and that the male subject would be in a closet waiting for our arrival and that the female subject was intoxicated," reported Deputy Andrew Colwell who was sent to the home with Deputy Paul Reed.
Unable to get two computers to connect to the Internet, the female suspect threw the two laptops into the floor, destroying both. Pieces of both computers were found throughout the den and dining room of the house and what was left of the computers were discovered outside in the trash.
Meanwhile, the husband called 911 and hid in a bedroom closet.
"(He) stated that she was cussing him the whole time and making threats toward him while he was talking to dispatch, stating if she didn't get online tonight that he would be dead," Colwell reported.


Public Drunkenness
Patrick McCullough was charged with public intoxication following an incident on Dave McLaughlin Road.

Domestic Incident
Todd A. Baxter was charged with domestic assault following an incident on Jimtown Road in which he apparently stuck his wife in the head with a flashlight. Photos were taken of her head injury and she was transported to Stones River Hospital for care.

Theft
Deputy Andrew Colwell investigated the theft of 16, 250 pound molasses lick block for cattle. The missing items were valued at $250 each. The blocks were taken from a storage shed on Larry Brandon's farm on Lonnie Smith Road. The case is under investigation.


Fire
A Komatsu excavator was damaged when it caught on fire while attempting to pull a stump on Brownstone Road. The equipment was valued at $45,000.

Cruelty to Animals

Amber Tucker was charged with abandoning four dogs in her custody. One puppy was dead upon Patrolman Melanie McCormick's arrival. A hearing is set for May 12 in General Sessions Court.
