Phyllis Diana Phillips Summers, 56, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010 following an extended illness.

A native of Cannon County and resident of Woodbury, she was self-employed and attended Bethlehem Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Phillips Jr. and Alice Bailey Phillips.

Survivors include her children, Champ (Melanie) Williams of Georgia; Teresa (Brandon) Adams of Chattanooga; adopted granddaughter, Natalie Summers of Chattanooga; siblings, Larry (Brenda) Phillips of Bradyville; Carolyn (Walt) Angst of Christiana; Rita Henry Thompson, Steve (Connie) Phillips, Vicky (Mike) Melton, all of Woodbury and Mike Phillips of Bradyville; her life-long friend Vickey Reed DeWolfe and her dog, Chi-Chi. Also surviving are six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday until 10 p.m. at Woodbury Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating. Burial will be in Prater Cemetery.
