Peggy Prater Wilson

Services for Peggy Prater Wilson, 57, of Cannon County, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup and Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Center Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Woodbury Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wilson died Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Wilson of Cannon County; her mother, Mazle Burger Prater of Cannon County; children, Brian Young and Chasity (Chad) Evans, both of Cannon County; step-children, Amy and Angela Wilson of Warren County and Adam Wilson of Murfreesboro; sisters, Carolyn (Jimmy) Blanton and Judy Blankenship (Bobby), all of Cannon County; brother, Myron Prater of Cannon County; three grandchildren, Dillon Evans, Brianna Young and Chloe Parker; and two step-grandchildren, Lexie and Trey.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sammy Prater; brother and sister-in-law, James Gary Prater and Ida Mae Prater and sister, Patsy Prater Owens.

She was  a member of the Church of Christ and a retired factory worker. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Woodbury Funeral Home.
