Peggy Mae Elkins

Peggy Mae Elkins, 66, died Monday, July 5, 2010 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness.

A native of Cannon County, she was a resident of McMinnville at the time of her death. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of God.

Ms. Elkins was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Patterson and Bertie Mae Blair Haley; her stepfather, Paul Haley; a sister, Hattie West and a grandson, Steven Hale.

She is survived by her childre, Vernon Elkins of Wartburg, Mark Elkins of Woodbury and Debbie (Ricky) Hale of McMinnville; a brother, Ralph Patterson of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Whitney Hale, Joshua Elkins and Jennifer Elkins; and a great-grandchild, Skylar Elkins.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, at Woodbury Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at Gunter-Grizzle Cemetery on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tom Fittis officiating. Burial will be in Gunter-Grizzle Cemetery.
