Mrs. Pauline Thomas, 83, of Woodbury passed away Friday, April 23, 2010 after a short illness. She is preceded in death by her parents Charlie Lee Herman and Mary Jane Lawrence; son, Allen Dale Hall; husband, Shelah Thomas; two brothers, Charles Robert Herman and John Lee Herman; step-children, Nadine Smith, Lucille Prater and Agnes Nichols.

She is survived by sons, Thomas (Debra) Hall of Woodbury, William (Betty) Hall of Murfreesboro; daughter, Mary Jane (Billy) Trail of Murfreesboro; daughter-in-law, Carol Hall of Murfreesboro; step-sons, Allen Thomas of Mississippi and Arlis Thomas of Woodbury; step-daughters, Mazel Hughes of Woodbury, Thelma Hicks of Nashville; sister, Lillie Lorene Powell of Woodbury; grandchildren, Sarah & Rebecca Hall, Brenda Lynn Rowland, April Dawn Hall, Carrie (Jeff) Mummert, Michael (Bonnie) Trail, Billy (Janette) Rogers, Jonathan Hall, Tommy Hall, Christopher Hall, several nieces and nephews, several great grandchildren and numerous friends.

Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Bellwood Baptist Church. She was a retired chair maker in Cannon County. She loved quilting and basket weaving as well.

Visitation will be held April 24, 2010 from 4-8 PM at Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be April 25, 2010 at 2 PM in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Kenneth Hale will officiate. Interment will be in Leoni Cemetery.
