Paul M. Melton, 83, died Tuesday, Jan. 15 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Andy Walker officiating. Visitation is 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Clemmie White Markum Melton and his brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Sybil Melton. He was a member of the Woodbury Church of Christ, a farmer and heavy equipment operator.

A Cannon County native, he is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wilma Jo Mason Melton of Woodbury; children, Donna (Bob) Schneider of Louisville, Ky, Steven (Susan) Melton, Roy West (Marcel) Melton, Paula Jo (Steven) Warren, all of Woodbury; sister, W.T. Melton of Woodbury; grandchildren, Rob Schneider of Murfreesboro, Josh (Jennifer) Schneider of Tampa, FL, Adam and Alan Melton, Angie Gilley and Taylor Warren, all of Woodbury; and a great-grandchild, Chloe Adcock. Also surviving are his much loved nieces and nephews.
