Paul G. Smith

Mr. Paul G. Smith, 87, of Morrison died June 1, 2013. He was born September 1, 1925 in Cannon County. His parents were the late Horace Smith and Lilly (Swanger) Smith. He was also preceded in death by his wife Juanita (Smithson) Smith; brothers, Joe, Fred, David, Dalton and Burt Smith; sisters, Lillie Minor Stacey and Minnie Bowman and by two infant siblings.

Survivors include sons, Johnny & Kathy Smith of Bradyville and Ronnie & Donna Smith of Shelbyville; daughters, Judy Stacey of Auburntown and Patricia & Barry Cawthorn of Bradyville; four grandchildren, Jason Smith, Beth Stacey, Tina Cawthorn and Jacob Cawthorn; three great grandchildren, Parker, Carter and Walker Cawthorn.

Mr. Smith was a member of the McMahan Church of Christ. He, wife and children ran a dairy farm for many years. He enjoyed raising show cattle as well. He loved to spend time with his family. Mr. Smith was an honest hard working man. He always had a smile on his face and a good story to tell.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 3, 2013 from 10-2 PM at the McMahan Church of Christ. Funeral services will follow there at 2 PM. Jeff McMahan will officiate. Interment will be in McMahan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to the McMahan Cemetery Trust Fund.
