Patricia Ann Prater Spry



Patricia Ann Prater Spry, 73, died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Woodbury Health Care Center.

A native of Cannon County and resident of McMinnville, Patricia was a career military wife thus living from South Carolina to California and a few states in between. Patricia began to have headaches, blurring vision and weakness in her legs while working for the IRS in Austin,Tx. On September 21, 1973 she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. On August 1, 1995, Boyd retired and they returned to live inTennessee.  Patricia’s last job as a secretary was for the Cannon Co. Board of Education in 1982. She was a member of Central Church of Christ in McMinnville.

Survivors:  

Husband of 53 years: Boyd Calvin Spry of McMinnville.

Sons:  Jeff Spry and his wife, Tammy Bowman Spry of Little Rock, AR and David Spry of McMinnville

Grandchildren: Amanda Spry of Nashville, Tyler Spry of Chattanooga and Lexy Spry of Smithville and McMinnville.

Brother: Phillip Warner Prater and his wife, Judy of Woodbury.

Special Friend: Deborah "Deb" Randles of McMinnville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Shelah Haskel Prater & Opal Winnett Prater and is daughter-in-law, Robin Haley Spry.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2012 with Bro. Herb Alsup & Bro. John Payne officiating. Burial will be in Midway Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on  Saturday, April 21 and Sunday until time of services.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Church of Christ Jail Ministry, Midway Cemetery Fund or Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
