CCHS students and teachers recently helped plant 16 big trees as landscaping work continues at Brown Spurlock Park. The trees were funded by Short Mountain Coffee, a project of Neal Appelbaum and the Stones River Watershed Association. Participating were Carpentry Teacher Ed Coats, Horticulture Teacher Courtney Nichols and students Sean Duke, Ashley Bynum, Kayee Sweeney, Annabelle Jones, BreAnna O’Neal, Dustin Burgess, David Parrott, Austin Adamson, Mark Southers, Kayce Teters, Rose Parker, Heather Hill, Matthew Thomas, B.J. Daniel, Conner Hawkins, Madison Duke, Dalton Bean and Brandon Burnett.

What a great idea!!! Mr. Coates is so very special and truly cares...along with Courtney Nichols and the if they would do something about the gazebo and the cemetery stones at the high school. Several years ago it was worked on and gravel brought to the school, now it is all overgrown and really needs attending to.
