One Traffic Stop Leads To Two DUI Charges

A Bradyville man and a Murfreesboro woman were both charged with DUI on March 14 following a traffic stop on W. Main St. in Woodbury.

Woodbury Patrolman John House stopped a 2003 Ford Focus being driven by John Clarence Jones, 6341 Hollow Springs Rd., Bradyville at 10:22 p.m. Jones was allegedly unable to perform a field sobriety test as demonstrated.

Jones was charged with DUI 5th Offense and Driving On Revoked License 3rd Offense. Bond was set at $3,800. Initial court date is April 24.

Shirley Ann Shannon, 2557 W. Park Dr.,Murfreesboro, is the owner of the vehicle Jones was driving and was also a passenger at the time of the traffic stop. She was also allegedly intoxicated. Shannon stated she knew Jones was intoxicated when she allowed him to operate the vehicle.

Her bond was set at $800 and her first court appearance is also April 24.
