Judge Susan Melton presided over Cannon County General Sessions Court on Jan. 30, 2018. The results of some of the cases on the docket are as follows:

• Benjamin Sadler pleaded guilty to DUI first offense. He was given a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and an equal amount of time on probation. Sadler must serve 48 hours in jail, pay a $350 fine and the court costs. He must attend a DUI school and his driver's license will be suspended for one year.

• Shirley Atnip pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment, reduced from DUI first offense. She was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. She was also fined $525 and ordered to pay the court costs.

• Susan Frances Wimberly pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment, reduced from DUI. She received a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and was placed on probation for an equal amount of time. She was also ordered to serve 6 days in jail, pay a $525 fine and the court costs.

• Mark C. Davenport pleaded guilty to reckless driving. He was given a partially suspended sentence of 6 months. He was ordered to serve 45 days in jail and was placed on probation for 4 months, 15 days. He was also ordered to pay the court costs. Davenport also agreed to revocation for violation of probation. He was ordered to serve 45 days in jail and his probation was extended for 9 months, 14 days. The sentences will run concurrent.

• James E. Centerbar admitted to guilt and entered into an agreed order of retirement for 11 months, 29 days on a charge of possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia. He was ordered to pay the court costs.

• Fred Thomas Dowell, Jr. agreed to revocation for violation of probation. His probation was extended for 11 months, 29 days.

• Sheenia Lee Grant entered a no contest plea and was found guilty on a charge of reckless driving. She was given a 6-month suspended sentence and equal time on probation. She was also ordered to pay a $50 fine and the court costs.

• Randal S. Hostra pleaded guilty to cruelty to animals. He was granted judicial diversion and was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days. He was also ordered to pay supervision fees, court costs and veterinary bills.

• Misty May Merritt agreed to revocation for violation of probation. She was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail and her probation was extended for 5 months.

• Tequilla Mounet Miller was ordered to serve a 6 month jail sentence for theft under $1,000. Miller is facing charges in Coffee County and her sentence will run concurrent with any sentences she incurs in those cases.

• Lauren N. Pegg was in court for violation of probation. She failed the drug screen administered to all persons charged with probation violation when they appear in court. She was remanded to the custody of the Cannon County Jail and her case was reset for Feb. 6.

• Penny L. Smith agreed to revocation for violation of probation. She was ordered to serve 30 days in jail and her probation was extended for 10 months, 27 days.

• Michaela L. Speck admitted to guilt and entered into an agreed order of retirement for 11 months, 29 days on a charge of possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia. She was also ordered to pay the court costs.

• Lytle Caster Trout III agreed to revocation for violation of probation. He was ordered to serve 7 days in jail and his probation was extended for 11 months, 22 days.

• Tina Michelle Waddell pleaded guilty to driving while license suspended. She was given a 6 month suspended sentence and equal time on probation. She was also fined $50 and ordered to pay the court costs.

• Thomas Muncy agreed to revocation for violation of probation. He was arrested on Jan. 9 and was ordered to serve until Feb. 8 when he has an appearance in circuit court on drug manufacturing charges. His probation was extended for 11 months, 15 days.

• Steven Patterson was given a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and equal time on probation on a charge of driving while license suspend, DUI-related. He was also ordered to serve 45 days in jail and to pay the court costs.

• Joshua Cole agreed to revocation for violation of probation. He was ordered to serve 23 months, 28 days. He will serve the sentence in the Rutherford County, where he is facing additional charges.

• Tonya Thomas pleaded guilty to driving while license suspend, non-DUI related. She was given a 6- month suspended sentence and equal time on probation. She was also fined $50 and ordered to pay the court costs.

• Leigh Allen Kilgore had a charge of DUI first offense dismissed at the request of the state.
