The following persons were recently charged with a variety of offenses by local law enforcement officers.

Catherine Marie Sherrell, 516 West Adams Street, Woodbury, was charged with Simple Possession of Schedule III Drugs, Simple Possession of Schedule IV Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia on Oct. 27 by Woodbury Police Ptl. John Fesmire. Total bond was set at $5100. Initial court date is Nov. 9.

Tracey Lavonne Guthrie, 46 Cherry Point Ct., Lebanon, was charged with DUI, Violation of the Financial Responsibility Law and Violation of the Implied Consent Law on Oct. 31 by Deputy Lawrence Avera following a traffic stop on Highway 96. Bond was set at $3000. Initial court date is Dec. 7.

Jose Luis Espinosa, 668 Myrtle Rd., Bradyville, was charged with Dog at Large on Oct. 31 by CCSD Tommy Barker. Espinosa's dog allegedly left his property and maul another dog at 805 Myrtle Rd. The victim dog suffered severe lacerations to the tail, chest and left ear areas. Initial court date is Dec. 7.

Justin Kirt Davis, 1157 Bryson Rd., Woodbury, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License on Oct. 29 by WPD Ptl. Lowell Womack following a traffic stop on Old Murfreesboro Rd. Initial court date is Nov. 16.

Tony Ray Bain, 6056 Short Mountain Rd., McMinnville, was charged with Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia by WPD Sgt. John House. Initial court date is Nov. 9.

Elizabeth A. Barrett, 561 Johnson Hollow Rd., Woodbury, was charged with Theft Over $1000 on Nov. 1 by CCSD Sgt. Anthony Young. Barrett allegedly took property at 101 Johnson Hollow Rd. belonging to Cynthia Bailey valued at $4149. Bond was set at $5000. Initial court date is Dec. 21.

James Leighton Heath, 105 Laverne St., Alexandria, was charged with Violation of the Financial Responsibility Law (no insurance) on Oct. 31 by Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy Lawrence Avera. Initial court date is Nov. 23.

All persons listed above are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
