Mr. Stephen Cook, 37, of Woodbury passed away on January 14, 2018 with his family at his side. He was born on May 12, 1980 in Woodbury, TN. He was preceded in death by his father, P. J. "Rooster" Cook.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Jean Howell Cook of Woodbury; a sister, Abby Frazor of Woodbury; nieces, McKenna Powell and Meredith Frazor; nephew, Aidan Frazor; also by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close family friends.

Stephen had a child like spirit and loved people. Wherever he was he had a hug and smile for you. Over the years he and his family traveled together visiting all 50 states. He especially enjoyed their trip to Hawaii and learning to hula dance. His dad was an avid coon hunter and raised coon hounds, many of them were champions. Stephen went with his father to numerous events for coon hunting competitions. Stephen was chosen to receive the Carl Perkins Sportsman of the Year with the American Coon Hunting Association.

Stephen was a sports junkie, he loved University of Tennessee sports, especially the Lady Vols, MTSU women's basketball teams, UT Vols football, and the Titans. He had season tickets to MTSU to see their games for many years and made numerous trips to Knoxville to see the Vols. He was probably their most dedicated fan and almost every year he got autographed items from the Lady Vols.

Stephen loved his family, especially, his nieces and nephew. They loved him too. They spent almost every day together. He got a special kick out of seeing his niece, McKenna, playing basketball at Boyd Christian School. He loved going with them to the Challenge Youth Conference in Gatlinburg over the last couple of years, too. All of the family and close friends knew he loved to drink Coca Cola. He was an unofficial "taste tester" for Coke. They made a point to bring him special care packages for Christmas and his birthday with his favorite drink and snacks.
