Robert H. Bogle, age 85, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Woodbury Health & Rehab. He was a native of Cannon Co.

Survivors include his children, Melinda (Roger) Wilson of Sparta, Vicki (Joe) Bryson of Woodbury, Teal (Mike) Hatfield of Murfreesboro, & Tammy Neal of Woodbury; Grandchildren, Bill (Amanda) Parsley, Betsy (Jason) Hawkins, Ben Bryson, Will Cooper, Cameron (Dallas) Neal, Chantell & Callie Neal, Chris Hatfield, & Casey Hatfield; 10 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren; and Special Friend, Jack Pemberton.

Mr. Bogle was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Sampson Bogle & Sarah Alice Bogle; Wife, Annie Louise Vickers Bogle; and Siblings, Eula Mae Melton, Esta Lee Morris, Luzette Tate, Medford Bogle, John D. Bogle, George Bogle, Hattie Ethel Byford, Altie Pearl Haley, Hoyte Bogle, Clifton White Bogle, William Howard Bogle, & Calvin Coolidge Bogle.

Mr. Bogle's passion in his life was being the Sheriff of Cannon County from 1978-1986. You would often hear him say, "I've been in jail for 8 years."

Funeral Services will be 2 PM Saturday, October 21, 2017 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Gunter-Grizzle Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 PM Friday, October 20, 2017.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Adams Memorial Library.
