OBITUARY: Michael Eugene Byrd, Sr.

Michael Eugene Byrd, Sr., age 61, of Woodbury passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at his home. He was a native of Davidson Co.

Survivors include his son, Michael (Miranda) Byrd, Jr. of Bradyville; Grandchildren, Destinee & Dakotah Byrd, both of Bradyville; Siblings, Brenda Hill of Gallatin, Mary Ann Thompson of Nashville, Penny Byrd of Dowelltown, Sue Byrd of Nashville, and Joyce Halpin of Nashville; Special Friends, Richard Gillihan of White House, Bobby & Paulette Parker & Kayla Addis, all of Woodbury; and Rachel Utter of Mt. Juliet.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse & Francis Byrd of Nashville; his wife, Sylvia Byrd; and his two babies.

Mr. Byrd was a crane operator.

Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Gilley Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 10 AM to 9 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the funeral home.
