OBITUARY: Kelly Ann Hagy

Kelly Ann Hagy, 45, of Clarksville, TN, surrounded by friends & family and after a yearlong battle with cancer, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 17, 2018.

Kelly was born in Galion, Ohio and during her childhood lived in Colorado and Georgia. She and her family eventually settled in Tennessee in 1984.

Kelly was a caring and giving soul not only with her close friends, family, and strangers, but also through her work as a Director of Human Resource for various medical facilities, throughout her career. Kelly continued her commitment to service at Cumberland Hall Hospital in Hopkinsville, KY, through mid-January and only weeks before entering Hospice care.

In addition to her most recent position, Kelly held several medical HR positions over the years. She received her BA from Trevecca Nazarene University. Her numerous jobs have taken her to multiple Hospitals and long-term care facilities throughout Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Alabama, and Ohio.

Kelly was an avid home farmer. She enjoyed growing summer gardens, flowers, and caring for her ever-present Chickens (Henny & Penny) and her Mule (Shmule). Growing up on a horse farm, she was never without her country upbringing, no matter where she hung her hat.

In Clarksville, Kelly was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Kelly's whit, humor, and tell it like it is personality, will be missed by all she touched.

Kelly is survived by her mother, Thelma Ann (Teddy) Hagy; daughter, Reece Scarlett-Ann Hagy; brother, Gregory Paul Hagy; and brother-in-law, Bradley T. Sharp.

Kelly is preceded in death by her father, Archie Paul Hagy and brother, Knute Matthew Hagy.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 22, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. A lunch will be served after the service at the church.
