OBITUARY: Jerry Marlon Witty

Jerry Marlon Witty, 70, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at his home following an extended illness.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Barrett Witty of Woodbury; Son, Ronnie Dale Witty of Woodbury; Stepson, Boyd Deering of Lafaytte, Tn.; Brother, Terry (Kim) Witty of California; Sisters-in-law, Charlotte Wimley of Woodbury, Jean (Ray) Melton of Thompson Station, Joyce (David) Fuller of Estil Springs, Tn., Marie Groom of Cane Ridge, Tn.

Jerry was a graduate of Limestone High School in Peoria, IL., a member of the Centerhill Baptist Church and was retired from Nissan as a Welder. He also was a veteran of the Army where he served in Viet Nam era. Jerry loved bird hunting at field trials and owned several prized bird dogs, trail riding and showing horses and to fish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold Witty and Mattie Lee Wimberley Gannon.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12 noon till 2 pm Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Woodbury Funeral Home, 615-563-2311
