James Frank Caffy, age 92, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017. Frank was born December 7, 1924 to Morgan and Fannie Belle Carter Caffy in the Bradyville Community of Cannon County. He was a 1942 graduate of Woodbury High School. He married Laura Jernigan in 1944 and they moved to Lascassas in Rutherford County in 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 55 years.

He was a member, song leader, and former deacon at Lascassas Church of Christ. He was lovingly known as "Caffs" to his family.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Martha and T.L. Hopkins of Lascassas; grandson, Thomas Hopkins and his wife Jennifer of Lascassas; granddaughter, Cynthia Martin and her husband Ronnie of Murfreesboro; three great-grandchildren, Sydney Hopkins, Braley Gentry, and Jarrett Gentry; two step-great-grandchildren, Holland Martin and Kennedy Martin; sister, Ruth Joy Jernigan of Manchester; and many friends.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 11:00am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. David West officiating. Burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. T.L. Hopkins, Thomas Hopkins, Ronnie Martin, Braley Gentry, Jarrett Gentry, Danny Hopkins, and Bill McBroom will serve as pall bearers. Honorary pall bearers will be Paul Dodd, Dwain Arnold, P.O. Florida, Olen Bell, Jimmy Matthews, Joe Thomson, Ricky Jernigan, and Buddy Brown.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
