James Dorris Sadler, 81, Thurs., August 17, 2017 at his home. He was a native of Davidson Co. and resided in Bradyville.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathy Harmon Sadler of Bradyville; children, Jimmy Ray (Rita) Sadler and James Dean (Mary) Sadler both of Bradyville, Deborah Kay (Tammy) Sadler of Murfreesboro, Lola Mae (Travis) Cook of Bradyville; grandchildren: Michelle Hawkins, Benjamin Ray Sadler, Joshua Dorris Sadler, James Houston Sadler, Katy Sadler, Faith Sadler, James Nicholas Dorris Sadler, Lucas Wayne Barrett; siblings, Faye Huddleston of Lebanon and Johnny (Linda) Sadler of Bradyville; sister-in-law: June Sadler of Murfreesboro; 5 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandson also surviving.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Taft & Marie Simmons Sadler and his brother, Doyle Sadler.

Dorris was a member of the Smith Grove Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge #774 of Woodbury. A veteran of the Army, he was a 101st Airborne Ranger. He worked as a steamfitter for TVA for 22 years. A strong man of God who truly loved his family. He had many hobbies including fishing, landscaping, gardening and growing fruit trees.

Funeral Services will be 2 pm Sunday, August 20, 2017 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Al Bugg, Jr. Interment will follow in the Cherry Cemetery. Pallbearers include Bobby Simpson, Brad Hall, Craig Banks, Dallas Joyce and Donald Day and Honorary Pallbearer, Harry Smith.

Visitation 2 pm to 8 pm Saturday, August 19, 2017; Masonic Service will begin at 8 pm following visitation.
