OBITUARY: Frances Violet Lack Coppinger



Frances Violet Lack Coppinger, 79, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at her home following an extended illness. A native of IL., she resided in Woodbury.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jimmy Coppinger of Woodbury; son & daughter-in-law, Steven & Felisa Coppinger of Woodbury; grandchildren: Candace (Will) Bell and Dalton Coppinger all of Woodbury; great grandson, Elijah Bell of Woodbury; sisters, Betty Jean Upchurch of Murfreesboro and Christine Carter of Woodbury.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny B. Lack and Hattie Parker Lack; Siblings, Lee, Edward, Willie and Norman Lack, Nellie B. Gann and Gertrude Vance.

Violet was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ and graduated at the top of her CNA class. She also worked in the office for Colonial Corp and at Short Mtn. School in the cafeteria. Violet loved to help others as she would put everyone else before herself as she did as a volunteer at Stones River Hospital. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Funeral Services will be 2 pm Sunday, December 3, 2017 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. James McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in the Gaither Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Lee Wayne and Billy Nichols, Will Bell, Dalton Coppinger, Bradley & Phil Coppinger.
