OBITUARY: Artis Elmer Mitchell

Artis Elmer Mitchell, 73, passed away at his home in Woodbury Fri., September 08, 2017. He was a native of Cannon Co.

He is survived by his mother, Francis Simmons Holt of Bradyville; 4 Children, Shelia Denise Pitts of Brentwood, John Artis (Bonnie Jean) Mitchell of Lascassas, Sandra Michelle (Paul Christopher) Thomas of Walter Hill and Mendy Faye Mitchell of Kittrell; Brother, Wendell (Tina) Mitchell of Bradyville. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Artis Mitchell. Artis was a member of the Family Worship Center in Murfreesboro and was a retired painter.

Graveside Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at the Gaither Cemetery with Bro. Tony Burnett officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12 noon - 3:30 pm Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at Woodbury Funeral Home, 615-563-2311 or www.woodburyfuneralhome.net
