A Cannon County homeowner got a surprise recently when he discovered an apparently intoxicated, nude woman beating on his door.
The Old Hickory woman got a surprise too. The homeowner was an off-duty Rutherford County Sheriff's Deputy.
When Cannon County Deputies Paul Reed and Drew Colwell arrived on Petty Gap Road they discovered a naked, handcuffed women on the ground, crying. The woman had been covered with a towel.
"I then spoke with the woman and asked her what her name was. She started to call out to me, 'Ricky untie me,'" reported Deputy Reed. "I asked her multiple times she wouldn't answer me."
Eventually, Reed got the woman to partially answer his questions.
"She said she was headed home from Coffee County with her boyfriend and another female friend and her boyfriend started to argue and when he stopped at a stop sign she ran," Reed said.
The deputy said the woman didn't know how or when she became naked.
Paramedics were dispatched to see if the woman needed medical attention, but she became highly agitated and refused treatment.
"She then started screaming that she was an agent of the FBI," Reed reported.
She was then transported to the sheriff's department where she was charged with public intoxication and indecent exposure.
