Nina Garnett Reed Gilley, 87, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at her home following an extended illness.

A native of Cannon County, she was a member of Sugar Tree Knob Church of Christ, a clerk at Webbs Grocery Store and a cook at Cannon County High School.

She was preceded in death by her parants, Will O. and Dovie Higdon Reed; her husband, Joe Mason Gilley; and brothers, Lytle, William and James Nile Reed.

Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Stephens and Linda (David) Parton, both of Woodbury, and Judy (Howard) Knox of Murfreesboro; a sister, Kay (G.L.) Peeler of Woodbury; and six grandchildren, Charles Stephens, Leigh Ann Parker, Greta Reed, Amy Underwood and Chris Knox, all of Woodbury, and Lisa Smith of Brentwood.

Also surviving are 10 great grandchildren and Care Giver, Donna Johnson of Woodbury.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Gann and Bro. Chris Mears officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Woodbury Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverside Cemetery or Caris Hospice.
